About Dannielle Green

Dannielle (she/her/they) is a certified birth educator and E-RYT 200 yoga teacher. Since 2021, she has taught over 2500 hours, worked with dozens of private students, and has completed additional trainings in Prenatal Yoga (Living Now Yoga), Restorative Yoga (Yoga International), and Yin Yoga (Ra Yoga). She has felt the pull towards birth work for years and jumped when she found Birthsmarter! Dannielle believes wholeheartedly that there is no one right way to give birth, and that education is the way to making and feeling confident in your choices. She is fascinated by birth physiology (“prostaglandins” is her word of the year) and passionate about creating an inclusive space for people of all identities to educate themselves and prepare for their birth. As a yoga teacher, she works to keep the philosophy of yoga tied to the movement, and offers this practice as a way of connecting with your growing baby, changing body, and expanding identity.

Born and raised in Orange County CA, Dannielle has lived, trained, and worked in Las Vegas, New York City, and Hong Kong. When she’s not moving her body or teaching, she loves listening to 90’s alternative and pop rock, reading fat historical fiction books, and being a weird aunt to two awesome little boys.

About Birthsmarter™

Despite living in the Information Age, it can be surprisingly tricky to find straightforward, balanced, and trustworthy information about having a baby. It can be harder yet to make decisions once you have said information. And, it’s nearly impossible to make a decision with confidence (read: without anxiety or guilt).

Birthsmarter’s education program is built on three pillars: physiology or how the body functions, the societal context or omnipresent systemic influences, and your personal circumstances or what you’re bringing to the table. Since we cannot predict how your birth or postpartum will unfold, our teaching will enable you to think critically and improvise, rather than follow a set of arbitrary prescriptions that may or may not apply to your situation.
